We bring you a regular little round up of cool things we've seen on the internet we think you might like. You know, just to keep you in the loop...
Since our Benjamin Brush crowdfunding campaign is live on Kickstarter now, it feels only right to devote this week's edition of The Loop to all things toothy! Ready?
In 2009, from the creative brains of artist + animator Inhae Lee, emerged My Milk Toof - a blog devoted to cute, funny (and sometimes pretty emotional) photo stories about two little milk teef called Ickle and Lardee. Brilliantly bonkers, Inhae documents Ickle and Lardee's adventures as they live their toothy lives in her apartment. She hand makes the character models from polymer clay and carefully sources and hand makes all the teeny tiny props! Next time your kids ask what happens to their teeth when they fall out, you can tell them that they go have fun with Ickle and Lardee! See more from the story archives here.
Ok. Are you ready for this? Watch the video to see Mexican artist Cristiam Ramos paint celebrity portraits using... toothpaste! Cristiam uses up to 30 tubes of toothpaste to paint the portraits and they can take as long as 200 hours to complete. He starts by finger painting with the toothpaste, then uses a brush to add finer details! See more on his website here.
We just had to share this with you - for good old silliness' sake! Yip - from the people who brought us the hit Hungry Hungry Hippos game comes this: Crocodile Dentist. Touch the crocodile's sore tooth and you'll get chomped but, make it through the game without touching his sensitive gnasher, and you win! Good for some daft family funny - but also handy for starting conversations about how to avoid cavities and toothache and encouraging good brushing habits.
