Sleep-Friendly Bedrooms for Happy Kids

In an ideal world, your kids’ bedroom would be specifically designed for and exclusively set aside for sleeping. However, it’s more likely that your kids’ bedroom doubles/triples/quadruples up as lots of different things - a play room, a study, a lounge - and a bunch of other things as your kids’ imaginations dictate.  So - how on EARTH do you make sure that, when it comes to creating the best sleep environment for your kids, that their bedroom is up to the job? We've got a few tips for you!

The Loop #43

This week in The Loop we get excited about visiting Craig & Karl's latest art installation, we listen to The Happy Song by Imogen Heap - the only song to be written specifically to make babies happy - AND we take a dreamy look at Gordon Reid's digitally rendered 3D sculptures.

The Loop #42

This week in The Loop we serve up a nice big bundle of creativity and colourful cuteness. We've got an ace new stationery range by Ola, a glorious David Hockney art activity book by Rose Blake and we get ready to celebrate creativity with Donna Wilson's new magazine, MYO!

The Loop #41

This week in The Loop we SPLAT! stuff with artist Jon Burgerman, we scroll through an Instagram account dedicated to snazzy public transport upholstery and we get googly-eyed over a fancy wrist watch that tells the time by colour gradient.

The Loop #40

This week in The Loop we take a virtual trip to the Design For Children exhibition in Milan, we wonder if we can decorate our studio with excellent new kids' toy 'Muro' and we make Instagram pals with colourful Berlin art duo, Zebu.

The Loop #39

This week in The Loop we share a bunch of bea-u-ti-ful Easter egg DIYS, we give Tom Pigeon's 'Play' print series a big round of applause for being brilliant and we say thanks to London design studio Honey & Toast for making scooter friendly school bags that'll last the test of time!

Create The Best Sleep Ritual For You & Your Kids

There is no such thing as the perfect, one-size-fits-all bedtime ritual. The best one is the one that works for you and your family. The best one is the one that can be easily performed night after night but adapted over time as your kids change and grow.

We can't give you a neat list of fool-proof pre-bed activities, but we can offer you some tips on how to establish your own.

The Loop #38

This week in The Loop we meet Alexander Kanygin's helpful army of handcrafted wooden robots, we enjoy a big blast of cheerful colour from the studio of artist + illustrator Mary Matson and we unveil our latest (beautifully designed) building block crush - KUUM.

Six Super Cool Kids Beds

With beds as cool as these ones, your kids will be pleading with you to get IN them!

We've rounded up six of our favourite super cool beds for kids. Enjoy!

The Loop #37

This week in The Loop we give enthusiastic thumbs up to an ethical and sustainable kids' clothing brand that promises to increase the lifespan of your kids' clothes - even as they grow. We come over a little bit giddy at the thought of Nimuno's Lego Tape (yes!) and we enjoy the whimsical, playful work of illustrator Lisk Feng.

The Loop #36

This week in The Loop we celebrate International Women's Day by applauding Lego's new 'Women of NASA' figurine set, we take a look at a picture book with a twist by designer Bruce Usher and illustrator Antti Kalevi and, with the help of architect and graphic designer Federico Babina, we imagine what it might be like to pop round Cinderella's house for a cuppa. Oh - and we leave you with five minutes-ish of musical joy courtesy of the pint-sized Joyous String Quartet.

The Loop #35

This week in The Loop, children's illustrator Jana Glatt brightens your week with her colourful pictures, we get excited by the prospect of Leander's beautifully designed baby crib that can be used even when your child is a teenager and we chuckle at Estudio Guardabosques' paper-craft cats as they create chaos in a handmade paper city (just as bonkers and delightful as it sounds!).
